Hi, I’m Martin Filippov, a mathematics teacher at Tallinn English College and Tallinn French Lyceum. After school, I work with private students from grades 1 to 12, helping them succeed in math whether they need exam prep, weekly support, or someone who explains things clearly.
I’m a PhD student who is passionate about making math easier to understand for every student. My research focuses on how students interact with computers and AI in the learning process, and how we can use smart tools to make learning more effective. I constantly look for ways to integrate as many technologies as possible. Over the years, I’ve taught more than 3,000 students across Europe. Many of them have gone on to top schools and universities like Gustav Adolf Gymnasium, Reaalkool, English College, Tartu University, TalTech, and schools in Germany, Italy, UK, France, Canada and the US. With the right explanation and the use of modern technology, learning becomes much more enjoyable and effective.
My lessons are built around the student. I adapt to each student’s learning style and use modern tools like Zoom/Google Meet, Mac, M4 iPad with Apple Pro Pencil, and interactive elements like GeoGebra, Desmos and other programs to simulate and visualize everything in the lesson. I also use Google Docs to save everything we learn in the lesson. To ensure the best possible online lesson quality, I teach from a professional studio room equipped with a studio microphone and high-quality cameras. You’ll see everything clearly on the screen, write and solve problems with me in real time, and receive full notes, solutions, and extra practice materials after every lesson. The file with everything learned in the lesson will be sent to the student and his/her parents.
I speak Estonian, English, and Russian fluently and I have language certifications. I’m available daily from 07:00 to 23:00, offering flexible lessons booking through my website. I’ll help you build confidence, understand the topics step by step, and get the results you’re aiming for.

IN THE LESSON
During the lesson, the screen will be shared with the student so both the teacher and student can write, solve problems, and work together in real time. The teacher will guide the student step-by-step through the tasks, whether on the digital whiteboard or directly in the textbook. Students are also encouraged to actively write on the screen, just like in a real classroom.
After the lesson, all materials — including notes, solutions, and exercises — will be shared with the student, so nothing is lost and everything can be reviewed later. The teacher remains available every day on social media or messaging apps to answer any questions related to the lesson or to clarify any topics that need more explanation.

I work as a teacher at Tallinn French Lyceum and Tallinn English College, and I also support students online. So far, I’ve taught over 3,000 students, many of whom have gone on to study at top schools and universities in Estonia and abroad.
I don’t believe in simply memorizing formulas or grammar rules without truly understanding them. My lessons are all about clear explanations, hands-on practice, and step-by-step thinking. I also integrate the latest technology from powerful computers and programming tools to artificial intelligence to make learning more engaging and effective.
