AI AND STUDENT CHEATING IN ONLINE LESSONS
I would like to share some important information regarding our exam and test preparation lessons. These courses are designed to guide your child’s learning journey in a structured, honest, and transparent manner. With my background in Computer Science and Software Engineering, combined with many years of teaching experience, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges that modern technologies bring into education.
One of the key aspects that makes these lessons unique is the way we address the role of artificial intelligence. All essays, oral tasks, and grammar exercises are carefully reviewed using professional plagiarism detection tools, including licensed software from established platforms. If any assignment is found to contain more than 50% AI-generated content, both the student and their parents will be informed. In cases where students rely entirely on AI tools to complete their work, I will invite the parents to a dedicated meeting to explain why this approach prevents the child from being properly prepared for exams.
If I notice repeated use of AI-generated content, I may ask the student to keep their screen and camera on during online lessons to ensure active participation and genuine engagement. Should a student refuse, parents will be notified. My IT background allows me to recognize the many methods students sometimes use to avoid doing their own work, and I make it a priority to monitor these situations carefully so that the learning experience remains fair, meaningful, and truly beneficial.
I want every parent to feel confident that their child is making real progress and developing knowledge that will last. For this reason, I always share study materials, corrections, and feedback with parents, so you have a clear picture of your child’s learning process. If a parent requests that their child complete a particular task and the student fails to do so, I will also make sure to inform you. In this way, we can work together to support the child’s growth and responsibility.
Online lessons are not intended as shortcuts or ways to bypass effort, but rather as opportunities to develop valuable skills, strengthen critical thinking, and build the confidence necessary for exam success.
